SCREEN PRINTING FAQ

What type of ink do you print with?

We print with high quality Plastisol Screen Printing Ink. We use Plastisol because we feel it gives the most opaque and quality result, giving longevity and a quality feel while maintaining cost effectiveness.

Do I have to pay for my order before starting?

To get started on an order (ordering in the apparel, making screens and setting up) we require a 50% payment as well as a digital approval which will be sent to you via email.

What is an underbase and why do I need it?

An underbase is essentially primer for your print. Just like painting a wall, if you want to print a pink logo on a black shirt, you're gonna need some primer under the pink or else it will look very dark.

Why do my colors not exactly match the computer/phone screen?

We try our absolute hardest to match your logo or design exactly with printing, both with stock and custom colors. We do not offer refunds on the basis of shade preference within colors. If you are undecided about a print color, stop by the shop and take a look at the inks we have on the shelf, or flip through our pantone booklet.

Do you offer mock ups?

All of the products we make will have a digital mock up sent to you for approval before we ever go to production.

I noticed a misspelling/error in my artwork after approving the art. Can this be changed?

It depends! If you notice an error, contact us via phone and or email AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to make sure we can catch it before it goes to print. We are not responsible for spelling or design errors once the design is approved, which is why we ask all customers to do a thorough check of their design and mock ups before approving anything.

Can I mix and match apparel?

As long as it gets the same print and the garment is approved by our screen printing team, we can mix and match whatever apparel you want to meet the minimums. We try to be as flexible as possible!

How can I pay for my order?

We accept Cash, Card, Check, Venmo and PayPal. ALL credit card transactions have a 3% credit card fee, which will be shown on your quote before you approve it.

How do you know the color count?

If we are doing your artwork custom, we will decide on a set color count before we start with the artwork. If you provide your own art, our team will take a look at the artwork and give you a quote.

Can I provide my own apparel?

Unfortunately we do NOT accept outside apparel for screen printing. This comes down to a few factors, but mainly due to the messy process of screen printing. If we mess up a shirt, or it comes in with defects, we want to be able to replace it before it ever leaves the shop.

What is your print size?

Typically, for a full back print we will print at 12" wide, full chest at 11.5" wide and a left chest at 4.25" wide. We have the capability to go as small as you'd like and as large as 12.5" wide by 18.5" tall.

What is the minimum order and why do we have minimums?

Our minimums depend on color count and quantity, ranging from 24 to 48 pieces. We have minimums because of the lengthy set up process for screen printing. It takes just as long to set up to print 24 shirts as it does to print 1,000!

What is the turnaround time for a screen printed order?

Currently, our turnaround time is between 10 and 14 days of your approval and 50% payment of your order. We do not start any of the process until you approve the order and pay 50% via cash, check, Venmo, card or PayPal.

How do I get started?

Send us an email, give us a call or set up an appointment! From there we will go over artwork, get that squared away and send you a quote.

Why is my color count so high?

With screen printing, we often use what is called "spot colors". The easiest way to explain that is, if you can spot a color, we print it! So if you are printing an American Flag on a black t-shirt, this will be a 4 color print. Underbase, white, red and blue.

Can you color match my exact logo?

Yes, we have the capability to color match almost any color under the sun. With that being said, you will have to be able to provide a Pantone color, which we will custom mix for $35 per color. IF YOU WOULD LIKE A CUSTOM COLOR, PLEASE LET US KNOW BEFORE APPROVING YOUR QUOTE!

How small of a shirt can you screen print on?

We typically like to recommend not screen printing on anything smaller than a Youth Small. Any smaller than that might result in stretching of the textile to make it fit on the press.

Do you offer refunds or discounts?

Due to the custom nature of our business, we do not offer re-prints or refunds unless explicitly discussed with our team. We strive for perfection and make sure every item is up to our strict quality standards before it ever leaves the shop.

Can I get a sample of my print?

Due to the lengthy set up process for screen printing, we do not offer printed samples of your artwork. We do however have a showroom at our shop, with dozens of shirts on display for you to check out!
